This life is super interesting...we go through things that we did not start or well, have a hand in starting...
Remember when you were a child and you got in trouble and would blame the other person saying, "he/she/ they started it..." ohhh the good old days lool Anyway, I have found myself in places and in situations and I'm like but GOd, 'YOU started this!!' When things don't particularly make sense and you're just confused about what is happening...
Yep, I've been there. Matter of fact I'm there right now. Yes, as I write this post and encourage you, I am encouraging myself. Paul writes to the Philippians and prays for them saying,
Philippians 1:6-  I pray with great faith for you, because I’m fully convinced that the One who began this glorious work in you will faithfully continue the process of maturing you and will put his finishing touches to it until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ!
God isn't in the business of starting things and leaving incomplete. If he started it, then he will bring it to fruition. He is faithful to see you through it all. Through the process of becoming who he created you to be, through the process of refining. He's just gonna leave you in the fire forever, you have to go through it but he is with you. He's not gonna leave you mid-process. Trust me!!
I have to remind myself every day that he is the perfector. Everything he does is perfect. Even though I may not see it fully, he knows exactly what he is doing and I just have to trust the process.
So with the same confidence that Paul had when praying for the church in Philippi, that's the same confidence I want us all to adopt. Let us remain confident in the One who began the good work in us, he will surely bring it to completion.
REFLECTION:
Take a moment and meditate on all the things that are happening in your life right now, all the things that seem unfinished and have baked. Take all those things to the One who started them. With confidence, remind God, that HE started it, and genuinely believe that he will bring them to completion.
This is for you to encourage yourself.
God Bless You
