Light to You

So in case, you did not know, our theme this month is "Light in my darkness". In one of the previous posts, I shared about advent and the fact that Jesus coming to the world is light. John writes and says, "His life is the light that shines through the darkness..."- John 1:5

This means that where he is, darkness cannot be. Light and darkness cannot coexist. It's one or the other. Jesus coming to the world was the light stepping into our darkness. Wherever there is darkness in your life, all you need to do is invite Jesus in.

I heard this song by Micheal W Smith called, 'Light to You' and the chorus simply says,

"Even my darkness is light to you

It's hard to believe it but you say that it's true

My darkness is light to you..."

This completely blew my mind!!! Isn't it just amazing that even what we may be calling darkness, God sees as light because HE IS LIGHT! WOW!

I just want to encourage you, yes you, reading this right now. Even YOUR darkness is light to him. Whatever dark situation you may be going through, he sees as light because HE IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. Keep your head up high and rest assured, he is with you and knows exactly what you're going through.

Even your darkness is light to him. No matter how significant or insignificant you may think it to be.

Reflection:

Read Psalm 139 (with special focus on verse 11&12) Meditate upon these verses, look back on the times you felt like running away from God or wanted the darkness to overtake you. In those times, He was right there with you. Right now, He is with you, let his light shine and trust me, the darkness will not be able to stand. Listen to 'Light to You'- Michael W Smith
