Keep pressing on

Yes, these are tough times and most people are losing it. They are doing so mostly by reason of incessant negative news, loneliness and idleness. You cannot afford to be part of that group - you need to keep focused on God and refuse to give in - keep pressing on - you are going to make it.

Every nanosecond that passes by, is in the past - therefore we cannot dwell on the past, rather like Paul put it, lets "press towards the goal for the upward call of the upward call"

(Philippians 3:12-14) - yes, especially during this season of uncertainty. We've been talking about what you are hearing from others - but what about the things you are telling yourself? Are you engaging in positive talk or is it negative? What are you seeing? Are you seeing the light in the darkness or are seeing the darkness in the darkness? God asked Jeremiah - " what do you see?" (Jeremiah 1:11) - my friend, we need to see well. Even in this darkness, God is still our light.

Try and electronically walk away from anybody feeding your mind with negativity - because what you fill your mind with becomes your reality - you begin to confess because that is what you see. Get in the WORD of God - He is the only GOOD NEWS for you right now - especially during this lockdown. We may be in lockdown but we must not allow our spirits to be locked down too - Paul and Silas refused to be spiritually lockdown and decided to out praise the chains and fetters - we too MUST do just that during this season. (Acts 16:16-40)

Listen to how someone put it - they said:

"be careful because people are going crazy thanks to the lockdown. Actually I've been talking about this with the microwave and toaster while drinking coffee and all of us agreed that things are getting worse. I didn't mention anything to the washing machine as she puts a different spin on everything and certainly not the fridge as he is acting cold and distant. In the end, the iron calmed me down as she said everything will be fine - no situation is too pressing."

In times like these, only the WORD od God can reassure us that no situation is pressing. Paul says in 2 Corinthians 4: 8 that " We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed."

The Amplified Bible says, " We've been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we are not demoralised" - the honest truth is that you are still surrounded by God. Therefore do not allow the situation and or anyone peddling negative and fake news to press you down, rather keep on pressing them down as you continue to believe for the best - that which Christ has already laid up for you. You are gonna make it - just keep the faith.
